In Silicon Capital, we advise deeptech European startups in the application of EU public funding. As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for assisting the startups throughout the entire grant application and investment processes. You will ensure the high quality of the required documentation (business plans, marketing plans, financials, presentations, etc,) and maximize the chances of funding success.

Job responsibilities

Client Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for startups applying to the European funding programs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and goals.
• Provide guidance and support throughout the application process, from initial consultation to final submission.

Documentation Development:

• Collaborate with startups to gather necessary information and develop high-quality application documentation, including Business Plans (product, financials, marketing, competition, etc).
• Develop the required documentation (business plans, technical proposals, budgeting, etc.) according to the funding program standards and guidelines.
• Review and edit documents for clarity, coherence, and impact.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement quality control measures to ensure all documentation is accurate, compelling, and aligned with the funding program criteria.
• Conduct thorough reviews of application materials to identify and rectify any issues before submission.

Process Management:

• Manage timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of all application components.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to gather the necessary inputs and approvals.
• Track application progress and provide regular updates to clients.

Strategic Advisory:

• Advise startups on best practices and strategies for successful funding.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on previous experiences and knowledge of the funding programs.

Required qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, business consulting, financial consulting, or related expertise.
• A proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and delivering high-quality documentation.
• Experience with business plan writing and proposal development.
• Experience in the application processes for funding and investment programs is highly desirable.

Skills:

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management tools.

Required candidate level: Mid level

Salary: 800 EUR - 1000 EUR Gross a month
