Job description:

MdM France in Armenia is implementing emergency assistance to vulnerable population displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and in scope of this project is hiring a Medical doctor with experience in Sexual and Reproductive health. The role involves regular travel to the MdM centers situated in Yerevan, Masis, Ashtarak, and Goris.

Job responsibilities

Main mission:

To conduct a situational analysis and needs assessment on sexual and reproductive health in Armenia.

To undertake medical consultations and health information sessions with beneficiaries, and to train and build skills among MdM and/or partner paramedical staff, as well as organize informative sessions on different medical topics such as (Sexual and reproductive health and rights) SRHR, Gender based violence (GBV), etc.

Main activities:

  • Situational analysis and needs assessment on SRHR,
  • Creating, updating, and monitoring patient and beneficiary files,
  • Identifying and addressing GBV cases,
  • Carrying out consultations on sexual and reproductive health,
  • Make medical referrals based on initial assessments,
  • Applying protocols and procedures,
  • Advising, monitoring, and providing information to patients/beneficiaries,
  • Reporting information and observations to members of the medical and social teams,
  • Leading continuous training and training activities on healthcare protocols and practices for SRHR, GBV and other health related topics,
  • Conduct health education sessions for partners, patients/beneficiaries, community workers, etc.
  • Collecting data and draft activity reports,
  • Doing assessments regarding SRHR, GBV situation in Armenia and reporting,
  • Contributing to representing MdM with partners and health authorities.

Required qualifications

Main skills:

  • Knowledge of international medical standards and practice in SRH. Note symptoms, signs, conduct clinical examinations, and identify clinical needs,
  • Understanding of infection control practices,
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team,
  • Write professional reports, collect, and analyze data, organize, classify, and communicate information,
  • Identify training needs, create, and lead training modules,
  • Implement health training and education activities,
  • Know how to approach a cultural and social context. Identify and understand society’s norms, customs, and practices.

Education & Experience

  • Medical diploma,
  • 2 years of SRH / Obstetrics/gynecology work experience.

Salary: 588569 AMD - 588569 AMD Gross a month
