As a key tech strategist, the Head of EA will lead the development of technology roadmap, ensuring seamless integration of cutting-edge solutions. The Head of EA will enable the further development of Ameria’s ecosystem, fostering collaboration among diverse functions and external partners. With a customer-centric mindset and a commitment to staying at the forefront of technology trends, the Head of EA will guide our tech teams in shaping the Ameria financial technology space.

The Head of EA is hired in a management capacity and reports directly to the CIO.

Job responsibilities

• Develops enterprise architecture strategy in alignment with and in support of the business' goals.
• Leads the development of an architecture roadmap that supports bank’s strategic objectives and facilitates digital transformation.
• Leads analysis of the bank’s future-state capabilities and future (and current) IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Leads development and implementation of architectural standards and minimum viable architectures.
• Defines Bank-wide qualities/non-functional requirements.
• Ensures the development and implementation of architecture related processes and procedures.
• Leads the preparation of architectural decisions having broader consequences (performance, scalability and maintainability) on the entire Bank or effecting multiple platforms/solutions such as the selection of major technologies, platforms, frameworks, or architectural patterns.
• Collaborates with businesses to keep Technology architecture current and continuously evolving based on business needs.
• Provides consultative advice to organizational stakeholders and develops actionable deliverables that help guide investment decisions.
• Communicates Technology and architectural standards and Enterprise objectives and transformation roadmaps to key stakeholders and product teams.
• Ensures the core enterprise architecture team works closely with extended team members and architects across the organization.
• Facilitates a collaborative relationship across the architecture community and product delivery teams.
• Recruits and develops the critical skills and competencies for the enterprise architecture team members.
• Leverages data analytics to inform architectural decisions and optimize services.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is preferred
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in IT (including architectural or IT management roles) or financial services
• Understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies and trends
• Understanding of agile methodologies and frameworks
• In-depth knowledge of API-first architecture, microservices delivery platforms, DevOps and Cloud technologies
• Knowledge of all components of enterprise architecture of a fintech
• Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills
• Strong leadership skills with exceptional interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
