Job description:
The H. Hovnanian Family Foundation is looking for a Social Media Manager to oversee the creative content for various NGOs under the Foundation's umbrella, including Birthright Armenia, Armenian Volunteer Corps, Repat Armenia, and HIKEArmenia.
Working closely with the team's other Social Media Manager, the Executive Directors of the NGOs, and reporting directly to the Head of Communications, the chosen candidate will imagine and craft engaging social media content for the NGOs and enhance our online presence. The candidate must know current social media tools and trends, and have a sharp eye for identifying and presenting stories about our NGOs. They should also demonstrate flexibility and creativity, as our NGOs cover diverse areas. For content related to HIKEArmenia, enthusiasm for capturing stories in nature is required.

Job responsibilities
- Design and implement social media strategy to align with goals
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and articles)
- Coordinate the production of photo and video materials with the multimedia specialists
- Engage in regular and meaningful interaction with stakeholders (repats and hikers for example) and colleagues to identify stories to highlight
- Answer all the comments quickly to increase engagement and support the Marketing Manager in answering inquiries if needed
- Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
- Monthly and quarterly reports: Collect, review, and analyze data on a monthly basis to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their objectives
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
- Work constantly with the Comms team to analyze the results of our social media presence and strengthen it
- Support the PR Manager in sending SM content to be promoted by a third part, and for virtual outreach events
Required qualifications
- University undergraduate degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Armenian, knowledge of Russian is a plus
- Experience in creating social media strategies
- Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Vkontakte, Telegram, etc.
- Being curious of new social media trends
- Craft engaging content

- Ability to deal professionally, effectively and cooperatively with stakeholders
- Demonstrate problem solving, interpersonal, good judgment, and teamwork skills
