Job description:

The Loan Officer is responsible for loan disbursement to individuals and further maintenance.

Job responsibilities

  • Identify the needs of individual clients related to loan products, provide enhanced consultation to clients
  • Initiate the loan application process and assess the borrowing capacity and creditworthiness of clients according to the established criteria
  • Gather the necessary documents of the individual client and provide them to the Business Lending Officer(s) to obtain analyzed information about the client’s income in cases where the client’s income is generated from business
  • Review the documents and/or information provided by the client and compare them with the established criteria and minimum requirements
  • Organize assessment of the property pledged as collateral and make a visit to the property to inspect it personally
  • Prepare and submit a professional loan opinion
  • Submit the loan application to the stakeholders for consideration and opinion
  • Organize and coordinate disbursement of the approved loan, gather the necessary documents, provide them to the stakeholders
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the loans issued by himself/herself and other Loan Officers; where necessary, in the event of restructuring of disbursed loans, provide the required information and organize the respective process
  • Keep track of timely repayment of loans and report to the relevant units in case of default

Required qualifications

  • University degree in finance, accounting or economics (ACCA, MBA will be a plus)
  • At least 1 year of work experience as a Loan Officer
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AS Bank 4.0 will be a plus
  • Good command of Armenian, Russian and English
  • Knowledge of banking and civil legislation, banking and accounting
  • Analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and handle stressful situations
