Job description:

As an IT Business Continuity Manager in Ameriabank, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the resilience and continuity of our IT operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to safeguard our technology infrastructure and services against disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in IT systems and processes, conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain effective incident response and crisis management procedures.
  • Conduct regular testing, drills, and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of business continuity plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement resilient architectures, redundant systems, and backup solutions.
  • Monitor emerging threats and trends in the IT landscape, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing mitigation measures.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on business continuity principles and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison with external stakeholders, including vendors, regulators, and auditors, to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on business continuity matters, providing guidance and support to internal teams as needed.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBCP, CISSP) preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business continuity management or related roles within the Fintech or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, preferably using the Spotify model or similar frameworks.
  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement ethos, always seeking opportunities to enhance business resilience and mitigate risks.
