Job description:

As an IT Vendor Manager in Ameriabank, you will be responsible for managing relationships with external technology vendors and service providers. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our vendor partnerships align with our strategic objectives and contribute to the success of our digital initiatives.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key technology vendors, negotiating contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify suitable vendors to meet those needs.
  • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs, conducting regular reviews and implementing improvement plans as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor escalations, facilitating resolution of issues and ensuring timely communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor risk, conducting due diligence assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies to safeguard company interests.
  • Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and vendor capabilities, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and efficiency improvements across vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and off-boarding processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and finance teams to ensure contractual compliance and accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on vendor management best practices and processes.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in vendor management or procurement roles within the Fintech or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of IT products and services, with the ability to evaluate vendor capabilities and assess alignment with business needs.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to drive favorable outcomes while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess vendor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage conflict resolution.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably within organizations undergoing digital transformation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to vendor management, data privacy, and security.
  • Proficiency in vendor management tools and technologies, with the ability to leverage data and analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, always seeking opportunities to optimize vendor relationships and drive value for the organization.
