The Center for Scientific Innovations and Education (CSIE) was established in 2021, following the Second Artsakh War, with the vision of positioning Armenia as a global leader in autonomy research. Our mission is to foster scientific innovation and education, working towards the creation of an Autonomy Center of Excellence.
At CSIE, we unite talented young Armenian graduates from top global universities, empowering them to drive groundbreaking research in a competitive environment. Our research focuses on advanced navigation and control systems for autonomous vehicles, multi-robot coordination and collaboration, and adaptive, learning-based control for autonomous systems.
We are proud to partner with the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) to conduct research and educational activities at the Aerial Robotics Education and Research Center — a state-of-the-art laboratory named in honor of Arik Melikyan, a distinguished scientist from the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. This collaboration enables us to advance cutting-edge research while nurturing the next generation of scientists and engineers.
Our team of over 20 highly promising students plays a central role in our innovation efforts. Their commitment to excellence is a key driver of the center's success, as they passionately pursue scientific breakthroughs.
