Job description:
We are looking for an experienced data engineer with expertise in cloud services (preferably AWS) and proficient in Python for a foreign project. This technical, hands-on role involves developing new functionality for the General Analytics Platform, refactoring existing code, and data analysis modules using the customer's Amazon Web Service infrastructure. The position requires close collaboration with analytics teams and platform engineers.

Job responsibilities
- Designing, creating, and implementing data collection and processing systems
- Transforming business requirements into data models that are easily understood and utilized by various specialties within the company
- Supporting business requirements through data architecture
- Collaborating with other technical team members to establish best practices and data management standards
- Performance tuning of data, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Ensuring data privacy and security compliance
- Researching new technologies and approaches
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines
- Fluent in English
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development
- Experience with AWS cloud services related to data storage, processing, and analytics (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, DynamoDB)
- Experience with big data on Spark/PySpark/Spark SQL
- Experience with SQL databases, including design, queries, and optimization
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse concepts
- Knowledge of data integration tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow)
- Knowledge of CI/CD
- Knowledge of Agile approaches
- Communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-professionals
