Job description:
CRRC-Armenia is looking for a research curious, detail-oriented and committed Research Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to participate in and contribute to various research projects that CRRC is undertaking. The incumbent will report to the Quantitative Programs Manager.

Job responsibilities
- Assist in the management of CRRC-Armenia quantitative and qualitative programs/projects; contribute to the creation of tablet form questionnaires, first-hand analyses, data cleaning; realize coordination of some small-scale projects (or parts of larger projects) upon assignment to communicate with research project team representatives and collaborators.
- Assist with the implementation of research projects, planning and implementation of selective research components; development of texts for analytical reports; development of research tools, and conduct of literature reviews.
- Assist in the development of training/event implementation packages (announcements, applications, handouts, evaluation forms, etc.); communication with training participants; evaluation of trainings; developing of educational and training content and associated evaluation forms.
- Assist in fieldwork implementation activities, such as questionnaire development; research participant recruitment; visiting fieldwork sites for checks and for conducting interviews; fieldwork supervision and coordination; selection of interviewers and organizing trainings for the fieldwork staff; data quality control, data cleaning/archiving, development of charts and tables, as well as in developing accompanying documents, when needed.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, seminars, and other events organized by partner organizations and key CRRC constituents as requested, and take meeting notes when needed.
- Assist the Administrative department in contracting the fieldwork staff.
- Assist the Program Managers in the development of fieldwork memos, especially ensuring that the staffing for fieldworks is duly recruited.
- Create and check tablets before training and after fieldwork.
- Contribute to the development and archiving of program-related documentation.
- Explore datasets of CRRC-Armenia, National Statistical Committee, and other databases to serve individual project needs.
Required qualifications
- University degree preferably in social sciences.
- Excellent command of written and spoken Armenian, English and Russian.
- Good computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite etc.
- Proficiency in using qualitative/quantitative research software e.g., SPSS/R/Survey CTO etc.
- Self-starter with ability to work in a team.
- Mature judgment combined with a problem-solving approach.
- Strong organizational, time management and communicational skills
- Research curiosity
- People-oriented, enthusiastic, good negotiator, strong intercultural communication skills, team player.
- Mobility and flexibility towards visiting regions of Armenia, staying overnight, working weekends and after hours (subject to later compensation).
- Ability to work with minimum supervision when requested.
- Patience and flexibility when working under pressure.
- Active willingness to enhance knowledge through training and personal initiative.
