Are you passionate about making online renovation smoother and more enjoyable for homeowners and contractors alike? BUILG is looking for a talented Senior/Mid UI/UX Designer to help us do just that!
About Us: BUILG is all about making home renovations easy and stress-free. Recently launched in Canada, we connect homeowners with contractors through online quotes. If you want to be part of changing how people renovate their homes, we want you on our team!
What We Need: We're building up our design team and need someone who loves designing user-friendly stuff that makes people smile. With one Product Designer already on board, we're ready to expand and make an even bigger impact!
Your Role: You'll turn sketches and ideas into beautiful designs that everyone can use easily. You'll work closely with our existing Product Designer and the rest of our cool team to shape how our platform looks and feels.

Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to create and refine UI/UX designs.
- Translate wireframes, mockups, and user stories into high-quality, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI/UX best practices to ensure consistency across products.
- Conduct user research, and usability testing, and gather feedback to make data-driven design decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, design tools, and technologies to continually improve our products.
- Work closely with front-end developers to implement UI/UX designs and provide guidance during the development process.
- Collaborate on brainstorming and ideation sessions to generate innovative design solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX issues and bugs in a timely manner.
- Assist in improving and optimizing existing user interfaces for enhanced performance and user satisfaction.
Required qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.
- Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile-first design.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and user-centered design.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the home renovation or construction industry.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for basic prototyping.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
