Job description:
As an Availability Manager at Ameriabank, you will play a critical role in maintaining the availability and reliability of our IT and banking services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to optimize service availability, monitor performance metrics, and mitigate potential risks.

Job responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the availability of IT and banking services.
- Develop and maintain benchmarks and SLAs to measure performance and availability of IT and banking services, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze availability and performance trends and proactively address issues to prevent disruptions and minimize downtime.
- Monitor the health and performance of IT systems, networks, and applications, utilizing monitoring tools and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to maintain and enhance the availability and reliability of IT and banking services.
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure and operations teams to optimize system configurations, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
- Implement risk management measures to mitigate potential disruptions to banking services.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of availability processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on availability management best practices and procedures.
- Provide recommendations for technology investments and upgrades to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting banking operations and availability management.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) preferred.
- Previous experience in IT architecture, infrastructure or performance management.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networks, and databases.
- Previous experience in performance monitoring and management tools.
- Understanding of banking products, services, and operations.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and performance metrics to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to banking operations and availability management.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve availability objectives and targets.
