Job description:

TUMO Center for Creative Technologies since 2019 actively worked to document and preserve heritage sites and objects to ensure that the current and future generations have access to its history. Currently the newly developed 3D scanning department is looking for dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team and help preserve historical monuments of Armenia. As part of the team, you will be actively involved in the 3D scanning process using advanced scanning technologies, contributing to the capturing and processing of highly accurate 3D data using photogrammetry and laser scanning techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong interest in 3D scanning technology and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

Job responsibilities

  • Batch process 2D Images into high-resolution 3D models.
  • Pilot the drone and capture aerial images. Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks.

  • Plan and create automated flight paths for automated 3D scanning missions.

  • Participate in the 3D scanning process. Including: capturing aerial and terrestrial images, operating the Faro Focus Laser scanner, and ensuring the equipment is safe from rain dust, wind, or other harms.

  • Create high-resolution 3D models based on photogrammetry and laser scanning data, including aligning images, registering 3D scans, 3D digital reconstruction, and texturing.

  • QA 3D scan data and troubleshoot.

  • Maintain workflows and processes used through the Photogrammetry-Laser scanning pipeline.

Required qualifications

  • Photography and drone flying experience (mandatory)

  • Knowledge of photogrammetry technology and tools.

  • Understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting techniques.

  • Familiarity with 3D data optimization, and offline rendering is a plus

  • Degree in Architecture, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields are preferred.

  • Previous reality capture and/or surveying experience is preferred.

  • Travel will be required occasionally

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail


Software skills (not mandatory)

  • RealityCapture (Mandatory), Agisoft Metashape (Optional), Adobe Lightroom (Optional), Autodesk ReCap (Optional)
