Job description:
As the Head of Delivery Team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire delivery operations of our logistic company. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of goods to our clients. You will be leading a team of delivery personnel, coordinating with various stakeholders, and implementing strategies to optimize delivery operations.

Job responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the delivery team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance, productivity, and efficiency.
2. Develop and implement delivery procedures, standards, and policies to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction.
3. Oversee the distribution of goods to various locations, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules and service level agreements.
4. Collaborate with other departments, including customer service and warehouse, to ensure smooth coordination and effective communication throughout the delivery process.
5. Optimize route planning and load management to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and reduce delivery time.
6. Monitor delivery vehicles and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance, safety compliance, and adherence to regulatory standards.
7. Stay updated with emerging logistics trends, technologies, and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
Required qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
2. Proven experience in logistics operations, with a focus on delivery management and team leadership.
3. Strong knowledge of logistics principles, delivery operations, and transportation management systems (TMS).
4. Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to foster a positive work environment, motivate team members, and drive results.
5. Proficient in analyzing data, interpreting metrics, and implementing process improvements.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
7. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
8. Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the logistics industry.
9. Proficient in using delivery management software and tools.
10. Flexibility to work outside regular office hours and travel occasionally.
