Job description:
CIS Armenia International School is looking for a qualified and experienced Chemistry teacher to teach in Secondary School following Cambridge International Curriculum.
Our School
We are a young school located in the centre of Yerevan offering international private education for children aged 3 - 18 years old. From age 5, all our students follow the British curriculum developed by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE, part of the University of Cambridge).
Our fast growing school community has more than 50 educators. Job responsibilities
Job Description
- Deliver a number of timetabled subject lessons to year groups as directed by the Head of School, not exceeding 25.
- Select and sequence appropriate materials, resources and approaches with reference to the relevant Cambridge and other frameworks and syllabuses.
- Provide schemes of work in advance of each School Term to your line manager in the prescribed format.
- Plan, prepare and teach well-developed lessons which inspire students and promote an enjoyment of learning.
- Effectively and appropriately differentiate instructions to meet all students learning styles, with an appreciation for student’s learning differences.
- Use appropriate ‘assessment for learning’ strategies, and regularly mark and assess student’s work.
- Use Edupage, or any other prescribed system, to record marks, grades and homework and share this with students and parents.
- Track and provide relevant and timely feedback on student achievement (performance and growth) and developmental needs to students and parents, as required by your line manager and Head of School.
- Write reports on students with clear formative and summative grades, comments and targets as to how to improve work by defined deadlines.
- Participate in regular meetings with line manager, discuss performance, take on board constructive criticisms and implement suggested improvements.
- Follow all school policies and support the Head of School to maintain discipline.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, marked by personal integrity, respect for others and fairness in their interactions with students, parents, colleagues and those in the wider community.
- Cover additional lessons for absent colleagues as required by the Head of School.
- Contribute positively to the After School Activity program and deliver at least one session per week.
- Participate in educational visits and school camps as required by the Head of School.
- Comply with all reasonable requests from school managers and communicate any concerns in a respectful manner.

· Teaching degree
· Proven experience in teaching the relevant age group / subjects
· Commitment and ability to engage students and assist in developing their social, creative and academic skills
· Possession of an up-to-date Police Clearance
· To be in a good health
