We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Team Manager to oversee our eCommerce development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of eCommerce platforms and technologies. As the Technical Team Manager, the candidate will be responsible for guiding the team, managing projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality eCommerce solutions.

Job responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with Shopify’s platform and Liquid template language.
  • Understanding of web architecture and experience integrating third-party APIs with Shopify.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of eCommerce solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Familiarity with database management, server technology, and site scalability.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices to ensure data privacy and security on e-commerce platforms.
  • Take initiative and manage the implementation of AI solutions in all functional areas.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Ensure the eCommerce platform's stability, performance, and availability, implementing monitoring and maintenance strategies.


Development & Management:

  • Experience leading a development team, managing tech projects, and overseeing product development from conception to deployment.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time.
  • Conduct regular code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Ability to formulate technology strategies that align with the overall business goals.
  • Strong project management skills, including familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Capacity to manage tech budgets and negotiate with vendors for software purchases and services.


Innovation and Growth:

  • Track record of implementing innovative tech solutions that drive business growth and customer engagement.
  • Experience with A/B testing, user feedback, and analytics to guide product improvements.
  • Ability to stay updated with emerging tech trends that can benefit the e-commerce platform and enhance user experience.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and integrate them into the development process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize development processes, enhance team productivity, and improve overall system performance.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Team Lead or in a similar leadership role within the eCommerce industry.
  • Strong proficiency in eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) and related technologies.
  • Expertise in front-end and back-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid, PHP).
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a tech team.
  • Experience in setting up and leading a tech team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Experience with rapid scaling and the ability to adapt technology strategies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the capacity to provide technical solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
